An Update For the Fuck of It
Not that I have a fanbase - I thought these blogs were going to bring millions of adoring fans to my electronic door step? Anyways, going through early in-vetro procedures with my wifey & we've already coughed up a fucking huge amount of moolah (so long European vacation) & we'll be getting it on in a test tube next month. My job is still pretty cool, I had a decent job offer at the Airport but after talking to my boss I turned it down. It seems I'm finally growing enough balls to seriously consider management, so out of that discussion - there is a likely chance I'll be GIS Manager by this time next year which will mean a tidy mega-raise. In fact, I'm getting a raise just for staying here - I like being sucked up to :)
Entertainment wise - I saw Slint two months ago in Louisville, an incredible experience. And a few weeks ago I saw Queens of the Stone Age, later in June I'll see the Pixies at Music Midtown. So far the best concert year of my life - especially if I get to see Coldplay later in the year & possibly even Flaming Lips. Otherwise I'm still playing Evil Genius sometimes at home, but lately I've been playing with my bootleg GIS software. I may have developed a schema to identify urban cores based on census block size / population density. So far I kind of like it - it does show Atlanta's has a small core while New Orleans stretches beyond the city proper. I'll post that somewhere when I finish a couple more southeastern cities.
