Whites At Their Whitest
As I'm on vacation - last weekend at the Grand Canyon & now in Las Vegas - I've come to a startling conclusion, White people are at their most uninhibited Whiteness when they are on vacation. Unabashadely & unapolegetically White.
It's not even really a bad thing, fuck - I'm White myself. Just an observation, but White people (and I would include myself) truly love vacations, particularly vacation spots where they can decorate themselves in gaudy clothing & talk out loud about "how different Arizona is from Wisconsin". Really - I'm not saying I disagree, but I think that goes without saying.
Of course I don't mean to diminish the roles of other races that go on vacation either. But for whatever reason, the handful of Blacks I saw that were attendance at a 'Wild West Show', just didn't act any Blacker. Or Hispanics didn't act any Hispanicer.
Maybe it's not even about acting 'White', but just acting more 'American', or 'Patriotic', or 'Freedom Loving'. I don't want to sound too nationalist or promote any racially supremacy - but I think when Whites go on vacation, they are at the most freed'm loving tara hating patriotic people in the USA.
How do I know? It's all about the height of the socks. White people on vacation wear their tube socks up to their knees. Something about that, with the NASCAR t-shirt tucked in blue jean shorts & sandals just looks more patriotic than anything else.
But if you don't believe me, take the tourist train ride from Williams AZ to the Grand Canyon. You'll probably hear this from one of the thespians who are method acting as cowboys: "What is the difference between in-laws & outlaws? Outlaws are at least wanted". And I think that is a joke, because people laughed afterwards. Really White laughter.

Thank you for all your comments John, I read them yesterday during a brief email checkup. I'll try to catch up over the next few days - but we did stay at Excaliber, which I would recommend if you really don't want to spoil yourselves.
Regarding white oppression - I've gotten onto that subject before, but yes, white neo-conservatives truly do feel they are being repressed. They feel their 'culture' is under attack & all the sacrifices that Thomas Jefferson made are all being squandered away. Because the Revolutionary War was truly fought so White people can shop at Wal-Mart & not have to deal with people speaking Spanish. Certainly the foundation of our country wasn't made so those immigrants can have greater opportunity & freedom.
Another topic - but related to not just Whites but Americans in general. Leaving the airport tram yesterday & boarding the escalater when we noticed some commotion - there were 3 African women with children standing in front of the escalator. They were obviously tribal - with incredibly rich & colorful clothing & were absolutely bewildered & frightened of the machine that was in front of them.
What culminated - I am completely ashamed of. Not for what I did, or joined in - but for not doing something about, or at least assisting them. As the crowd became restless & were gawking at the scared shitless Africans who obviously had never seen an escalator before - people, both Black & White were making cat calls & laughing at them. My wife & I were mostly shocked at the treatment those poor people were receiving & in retaliation simply yelled back at everyone that they were assholes. Actually I recall stating "The typical asshole reaction from an American."
But I do feel guilty for that encouter - just having been there & realizing that I was part of the collective 'American' group that 'welcomed' the foreign visitors to our country. But it was absolutely typical of Americans, we are the most callous & soulless group of people on earth.

That is interesting, Brad. I've never thought about that before; the birth of hypocrisy that was the birth of this nation. We truly are isolationists.
Isn't that just the dream of Man, though: bread and circus. And then, ennui relief (which I guess could fall under "circus.")
I could just picture those beautiful African mamas; probably too stunning to even look at in the eye. Don't beat yourself up though. For they surely would laugh during your first bout of malaria.

American idiocy has got to have its place in evolution though! It's got to be serving some purpose. Is it an oar operated by an invisible ferryman? Like the medieval church. Some loathesome fact of temporality; some dull stone being sharpened by Mother Nature's, as of yet, scant supply of tools?
But this introduction of teleology/eschatology (sp?) I'm not sure of its applied validity. Purpose and Platonic forms, perfection and beauty...? What beautiful seed is that idiotic American ridiculing African guests.
Like an Hayao Miyazaki film, what slumbering, bumbling childish demon lurks miles beneath the breast of such a cad? We must start with his father and spiral back centuries, milennia perhaps? The niche his code filled socially. Were they blacksmiths, shoemakers, accountants, fools? did such ready condemnations suit their trade?
Did their genetic dispositions create theri trades. What are these demon brethren, now that we have plunged backwards to hell's first family: seven siblings etc.
Who is the father of the man of ignorance? Why its insanity! Whcih starts when your always afraid, step out of line, the man comes and takes you away.
But what of these task master genes ribodeoxynucleic acid (sp?) -- they seem all Will to Power. Everything is power.
Even my own desire for a quicker computer... I want a Google Earth that I can cum with! Not content to see a pixilated Tokyo! I want to go there and stick my head inside a quark's daydream.
