Breaking The Law Breaking The Law
Yes, I saw Judas Priest last night. It was very cool, especially since it was free. But of course realized how completely uncool I am, hanging out with friends of the person that gave us the free tickets. Which in a big way is a compliment, even though I am a nerd - they can appreciate me being a yuppiesh, geekish cool guy. I certainly was the only person among the 10 to 20 friends that didn't have a tattoo - but what would I have a tattoo of? Maybe a gnome.
But the Priest rawked.
Also today I got to see Shirley Franklin in a board meeting - just a few days after seeing her at a Glenwood Park opening reception. That was Sunday, which i also met Justin, Mark, Caleb & Wendy - all internet skyscraper geeks like me. I had spoken to Justin several times, so it was good to meet him, a bit of an age difference of course. I didn't know Mark at all & enjoyed chatting with him, perhaps we'll meet again. Caleb was someone I had wanted to chat with before, him being a planner & of course knowing GIS - it would make sense. Especially with my new job being so closely related to planning - he gave us a hint of something happening nearby. Which he is always privy to, knowing what big developments are under way - hopefully I will be learning of some projects while I'm here before others. Rather than the last job, knowing of the big capital improvement project for sewers before the public! Woohoo!
