Crazy.

I feel insane today.

I called my doctor yesterday to report this agony in my right side. Her nurse gave me diagnosis options, all of which sound great:

1. Appendicitis
2. Ovarian cyst
3. Endometriosis
4. Infection of the ovaries/tubes
5. Fibroid growth, pressing on ovaries
6. Intestinal infection

So today I still hurt, but no fever. In the meantime I am grumpy and manic. I am assuming it has something to do with the pain and fear. But I feel CRAZY. The guy in the office next door was having a powwow with fellow right-wingers and their conversation was mean-spirited and "pick on the lefties". I could not concentrate, I could not focus, I felt this Mt. Vesuvius of anger welling up about to erupt in hot molten crazy all over the place. I stood up and said "I CAN'T TAKE THIS. NOT TODAY," and slammed my door shut.

I am waiting for a call back from the nurse, with my next directions.

I don't know which diagnosis sounds worst. Keep us updated. I'll be thinking of you.

Ollie, so sorry about the pain. I'm so sorry it's always something. I hope whatever it is, it's something that is easy to fix and you can start to feel better soon.

Sorry about the pain Ollie!! Hoping it's a cyst and goes away in a few days!!! I HATE pain and I hate to hear other people are affected by stupid pain. I hope you feel better soon and get some solid answers.

Best wishes!

I am sorry, but that last part made me think of one of the NEW RULES on Real Time w/ Bill Maher:
'...without George Bush around, where does the hate go?'

I can't believe that they didn't make sure this was all taken care of today for you. It's ridiculous to have you waiting around in pain. I hope the muscle relaxers are doing a little sumtin' for ya though.

None of those 6 sound like anything anybody should have. Least of all you. Just the not knowing what the hell is going on is enough to justify feeling crazy. Then add pain on top of that and you have a recipe for eruption. Just know that you are NOT crazy, you just FEEL crazy. There is a big difference.

I only wish someone's genitalia had been dangling in the path of the door when you slammed in.

Thinking of you, nice lady.

Oh, Ollie--I hope the pain stops soon and that someone at your doc's office gets on the ball and calls you back with directions. Why don't they realize just how important our pain is to us? I guess they don't get that training in college/nurse training/med school.

Hope the pain is waning...and no more fever dampens your brow.
